The term “dress to impress” could not be further from the truth when it comes to job interviews. Making a good impression is crucial to landing a possible internship or upcoming career. Undoubtedly, a great outfit can make or break an interview.
Finding the perfect outfit for interviews can be tricky. It is often difficult to find a middle ground between being chic and showing off your personality, yet still appropriate and professional.
This Fashionista did a great job to perfect an effortlessly chic, yet traditional outfit for an interview. By pairing a classic silhouette, such as her white blouse, with this great open-front textured coat, this Fashionista is showing that she takes traditional and appropriate fashion seriously when it comes to interviews, but also isn’t afraid to show that she has some style. Did I mention it is extremely cold in Rhode Island? This jacket is perfect to tackle interviews and cold weather.
Her navy slacks and off-white ballet flats compliment her traditional outfit while her camel jacket helps to bring out her extremely fashionable side. Adding a simple, yet appropriate necklace gives the look more of a pop which allows this Fashionista, and future potential employee, to feel extremely confident and prepared when going into a stressful interview.
One Simple Change: This jacket is one of my favorites. Camel is always in during the fall and winter seasons and can easily be dressed up for an interview, or even dressed down with a sweater, jeans, and booties for class.
