Living in London you find that the weather is very unpredictable. One minute it’s raining, and the next its sunny. As winter is coming to an end and spring is springing its time for layers for any weather situation. This week I ran into Jorge from Miami, Florida who successfully layers his outfits in preparation for any kind of weather.
His Ralph Lauren navy windbreaker jacket keeps him extra warm over the perfect H&M gray sweater. Whether he is on his way to the coffee shop or popping into Topshop he can decide whether he needs a little extra warmth or if he can bear to take off his coat. Jorge is wearing vintage wash skinny jeans with some must-have casual boots for avoiding the random puddles in the city.
Thankfully there was no rain today but one of the best ways to ensure your fresh hairdo won’t be messed up is to throw on a trendy hat. This year the hat trend has really been peaking and I’m absolutely obsessed with it. It’s the easiest way to take your outfit from 0 to 100 real quick. Jorge rocks a hat from Urban Outfitters along with some sunnies to block out the haters.
Not only is layering perfect for days at home in London, its also perfect for traveling. You never know what the weather is going to be like when you step off the airplane. Having the option of taking off your jacket if the weather is better at your destination is definitely the move. If you want a little extra warmth you can always throw on a scarf. My favorite thing to wear while traveling is a bigger scarf that doubles as a blanket.
One Simple Change: Take this winter season look to spring by swapping your sweater and jacket for a dope graphic T-shirt.
