Grays, blacks, knits and red lips. All wonderful ideas incorporated into Christian Siriano’s fall 2016 ready-to-wear runway show. Siriano shows just how sexy knits can be in his fall 2016 collection—throwing in splashes of red and yellow to bring a vibrancy to the assortment. Siriano takes on the challenge of making knitwear an acceptable form of evening wear, by which we can see he clearly succeeded.
Being a fan of comfortable and cute clothing, I incorporated the runway show into one of my daily looks—gray knit duster, black turtleneck, gray shades and, of course, red lips. The duster in my outfit reflects both the flow of Siriano’s pieces, the comfort of knit, as well as a similar color scheme throughout the ensemble. I also added what are small, but important, pieces from the runway: gray shades and red lips. These two items add the finishing touch.
The minimalist look is my favorite to wear, and incorporating it with Christian Siriano’s fall 2016 collection creates a unique evening look. It is also a wonderful style for cold weather because the knit is cozy and keeps you nice and warm. There are also a couple of benefits to wearing neutral colors: first, the pieces are easy to rearrange and create new expressions; second, the colors allow for an easy transition of day to night outfit.
