When looking for outfit inspiration, I always go to my favorite designers and Altuzarra is certainly one of them. Their fall 2016 ready-to-wear collection was nothing less than perfection and I found inspiration in each different look. Throughout the show I noticed statement jackets, high boots and shearling details.
I incorporated each of these trends into my own winter look. I first picked the knee-high boots to pair with a relatively simple black jean and black sweater. The boots are statement enough so I figured I would keep the outfit fairly basic to offset them. I love the look of tall suede boots. I think since knee-high boots are pretty bold, the fact that they are suede softens the look. The knee-high boots that I like are the Stuart Weitzman Lowland Boots, but just in case you aren’t willing to drop $800 for them, there are many other similar looking ones like these boots.
I decided to translate the statement jacket and shearling detailing trends into one cohesive item. The coat I have on is definitely a bold piece, especially for me. Shearling is a big trend right now this season and even with the latest shows from fashion week. Other than the fact that it is a really great look, it is also super practical and warm. Though Altuzarra features bold colors, I decided to go more neutral to incorporate my own style into the look.
