It takes an extraordinary amount of skill and genius for someone to endure the painfully cold weather while being stylish. So, when I saw this Fashionisto donning a crisp, classy and cozy ensemble, I had to give him props…and then take photos of him, of course. His cool, confident demeanor was nicely accented with an equally cool coral button-down shirt and khakis. But, the true secret to not freezing was the black, military-like peacoat.
When buttoned all the way up, this Fashionisto is pretty prepared for the 20-something degree weather. “I mean, look at me. Am I not ready for the winter?” he laughed while buttoning the coat all the way up to his neck. Buttons in general seemed to be working in his favor throughout the outfit. When he didn’t have his coat pinned all the way up and decided to wear it open, his button-down underneath still presented a classy look. To take things from zero to editorial in a minute, he popped the collar of his coat up just before giving me the Tyra “smize.”
After a nice conversation with him, it made total sense as to why he refuses to let the cold keep him from being fashionable. He’s a textile and apparel management major (duh) and wants to work closely with a designer in his future career. His ultimate goal is to become the creative director of Chanel or Halston. It’s also worth mentioning that he wants to be in the fashion industry because of The Devil Wears Prada. Why is it worth mentioning? Well, because that movie is great…that’s why.
One Simple Change: You can easily take this look from winter to spring by tossing the coat when the temperatures become less brutal and a little more warm.
