Could it be? Finally? Spring, is that you trying your best to break through? A lot of people complain about how unpredictable the weather here is in Kentucky, but I personally don’t mind being surprised by a sunny-and-75 day after a streak of bitter cold. Yes, it is unpredictable and not the easiest to adjust to, especially with your wardrobe planning, but being able to break out sunglasses and sandals is well worth the unexpected.
For the best weather we’ve had yet here in the Bluegrass, I spotted several students sporting their spring gear on campus. This Fashionista happened to sit right next to me one day while waiting outside for a class. I immediately noticed her cute, casual look that showed her excitement for the sunshine. But what I really loved about her outfit were her sunglasses. She went on to tell me that she had just recently bought them at Target just a few days before. These mirrored beauties are a perfect statement piece this coming season. They are so fun with their bright colors and can make any outfit more exciting, not to mention their practical uses as well. They’re great for blocking out sun, checking out other Fashionista styles without looking creepy, and they can be a great mirror for reapplying your lipstick after lunch.
Sunglasses are a great way to vamp up any style and give you more of an edge. But, lets not forget how great her style is without her shades. She is styling a plain T-shirt dress which is a huge trend right now. The loose, soft and flowy feel of the dress is a great spring piece and comfortable enough for those long lectures. She ties a chambray shirt around her waist to give her dress some shape and tops off the look with an awesome red sandal.
How To: This look can be recreated any way you want! You can change it up by playing with different color dresses, swap the sandal for a pair of boots or go for that Kardashian style and block out the sun even more with all-black sunglasses.
