I hate to rub in your face the warm weather we are having here in Chile. But as summer is going away soon, I have no option but to take advantage of it. And that’s exactly what students are doing here. Denim shorts, skirts, sandals and more summer clothing invade university campuses around the country.
This Fashionista caught my eye because of the little twists she had in her outfit. You can see tons of denim shorts and sporty T-shirts around campus, but it’s her big plaid shirt and shiny sneakers that took my attention.
The plaid shirt over the shorts and T-shirt plays with your vision making it seem that there are more than just two layers to the outfit. The shirt being the same length as the short makes it even better. Plus, the gold detail in the sneakers adds a touch of color to the look and making it less monochromatic.
I am a strong believer that little details are what make an outfit rad. As simple as this look seems, the combination of sizes, textures and colors are the reason to labeling the look as outstanding. The dark lipstick and gold eye shadow also are the perfect match for this outfit.
This Fashionista proves that laid back doesn’t have to be boring. It is all about matching the right pieces to get a cool outfit.
