Going to class: the one thing all college students have to do and struggle to do on a daily basis. Workloads pile up quickly, long nights are spent staring at computer screens and hundreds of cups of coffee are guzzled down. As much as we’d all love to spend much of our time piecing together super trendy outfits to roam our campuses in, it’s not realistic. Have no fear, my friends! There is a solution.
As this Fashionisto expertly demonstrated, the sporty look is perfect for an effortlessly comfortable yet fashionable day on the academic grind. There are two main reasons the look worked so well: clean lines mixed with a vintage piece. The majority of his outfit was made up of the sharp, black, name brand elements, such as the North Face jacket and book bag, adidas pants and Nike shoes. To balance those modern, recognizable pieces, he slipped on a red, vintage crewneck with an embroidered emblem. It acted as a pleasant pop of life in an otherwise dark outfit. If he opted for a more modern sweater, the outfit would have suited a sporting event more than anything else. The balance was necessary and made for a killer look.
One Simple Change: As the sun slowly comes out of Chicago’s winter shell, we can finally start adapting our outfits for spring! To modify this particular look, start by shedding the North Face jacket and book bag to put emphasis on the red crewneck. To literally top things off, throw on a baseball cap for good measure.
