Dang Fashionista? Back at it again with the black Vans! While Vans might be the new internet joke, they are becoming extremely popular around the Marist College campus. With the slow transition into spring here in New York, it’s still too cold to wear any summer sandals or flip flops yet. Therefore, sneakers like Vans make the perfect spring footwear until the weather warms up (which will hopefully happen soon).
I spotted this Fashionista rocking her black Vans paired perfectly with her causal spring outfit. Besides her Vans, what really stands out in this outfit are her black distressed jeans. This Fashionista’s extremely detailed ripped jeans give an edgy look to this outfit, and much like her Vans, are also super trendy at the moment. Cuffing her jeans so they end at the ankle allows her shoes to stand out without blending into the black jeans. Pairing the black jeans and shoes with an army green tank top enforces the edgy look that this Fashionista is going for.
My personal favorite part about this outfit is the jewelry. I love the layering of the small and delicate necklaces, which creates a large statement. Small necklaces like these really show off who this Fashionista is with her dog bone necklace and her initial bar pendant necklace has her full initials ingrained into it. These necklaces really complete the outfit.
How To: To Achieve this Fashionista’s look all you need is a pair of black ripped jeans. If you don’t want to go out and buy black ripped jeans. you can make your own. Simply just take a pair of black jeans and cut holes down the front with scissors until you get your desired amount of rips. Then put together whatever outfit you want!
