When it comes time to pull out the skirt again, my go-to for the upcoming season is an A-line suede ’70s-inspired skirt. This skirt is such a sophisticated and fun piece that can easily be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. I am also a big fan of ’70s clothing because of the prints and styles. I am personally just so excited for this upcoming trend to hit the market. Since I love ’70s clothing and pull a ton of my inspiration from the that decade, I was influenced from Rachel Zoe’s spring 2016 ready-to-wear. All of her pieces in the collection incorporate long hemlines, neutral colors and tighter silhouettes.
One of Rachel’s famous quotes is, “Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak at all.” This is such a true statement because your own personal style speaks louder than any words ever could. You always want to keep within your own style and be confident in your outfits. For me, this outfit represents one of my many styles I wear. I tend to wear a lot of black because black is very slimming. You also can never go wrong with any piece of clothing that is in the color black. I love the neckline of this top because it acts like a necklace and adds a fun detail to my outfit.
I am also wearing a denim jacket. Jean jackets are a great extra piece to add because in my ensemble it adds some color other than the black and white. Lastly, my sandals add a subtle pop of color to the outfit.
