It’s the season we all love: spring! Personally, I have been ready for pretty flowers and warm weather for awhile since Kentucky’s winters bring me down in the dumps, but they are here now and I couldn’t be happier. However, we are still in that it’s-too-cold-for-shorts-but-too-warm-for-big-sweaters mood. It is a challenge to get dressed since it’s freezing in the morning but warms up in the afternoon, so I have found that layers are everything!
One of my favorite jackets is the bomber jacket. Its classic style dates back to WWI and we see it being recreated this season by designers like Alexander Wang and brands like rag & bone. I consider this piece a must-have for the edgier Fashionistas/os and it is a great throw-on for class! You can also wear it so many ways, but I prefer when it is paired with more casual pieces because it has such an easy and loose fit.
This Fashionista sports the jacket with a light pullover and ripped jeans to give her look even more of an edge. By adding a cute sleeveless sweater tank, she is able to take off the jacket during the day as it gets warmer. She keeps it cool with some white sneakers and tops it all off with a large tote bag and some cool, antique turquoise rings.
How To:Â Don’t be afraid to mix it up a bit! Take a bomber jacket like this one and pair it with some boyfriend jeans or leggings, but keep it easy with the sneaker trend.
