Hey there Fashionistas! My name is Courtney Sterns, and I’m an upcoming senior (silently cries) at the University of South Carolina. I’m majoring in public relations and minoring in fashion retail. I’ve been drawn to the fashion industry since a young age when I used to flip through the pages of Vogue and rip out all of my favorite looks to hang up on my wall. I love exploring new fashion trends, finding good steals and experimenting with what pieces go well together.
Last winter I interned with Marie Claire, and I can’t wait to return to New York City’s Hearst Tower this summer to intern in the fashion department of Cosmopolitan and Seventeen Magazine. I’m excited to share everything that I learn at my internship with you guys, as well as offer up my own unique insights. I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of the CollegeFashionista team this summer. I look forward to having a platform to express my personal style and learn from fellow Fashionistas.
I would describe my style as minimalistic-chic. I love neutral colors. Believe me, you can never own too many black articles of clothing. I appreciate a good polished look, but I also like to keep things interesting by playing with different textures or layering lots of clothes and jewelry on top of each other. I can’t wait to continue to fine tune my personal style over the course of this summer and share it with you all!
