My name is Arianna and I will be a senior at the University of Pittsburgh pursuing a degree in Marketing and Business Information Systems. I am so grateful to be given this opportunity to explore the world of fashion and design, as well as express my own love for clothes, shoes, accessories—basically anything fashion related!
Fashion has always played an important role throughout my life. Whether it’s spending hours shopping at the mall with my friends or roaming the Internet for the latest trends, I have always been drawn to fashion and its way of making me feel creative and unique. With my hometown being right outside of Philadelphia and fairly close to New York City, I always find myself exploring these extremely large, diverse cities to keep up with the most current styles and gain inspiration just by wandering the busy streets.
My absolute favorite season for clothing is summer, so I am incredibly excited to be a Style Guru during this time of the year. My favorite places to shop for summer clothes are small boutiques, where I can find one-of-a-kind pieces of clothing that I cannot find anywhere else. While spending my summers at the shore, I am constantly browsing in surf shops, which explains why half my wardrobe consists of beachy, bohemian-like clothing. Since online shopping could be a second job for me, I find myself shopping at hundreds of different stores to develop a wardrobe that I love and that expresses my style.
Since it’s just the beginning of summer, once the sun goes down, it gets super chilly at night. No matter what season it is, I love wearing ripped or distressed jeans, but I especially love them in the summer paired with some cute wedges or sandals. Anyone that knows me knows that I own more cardigans than anyone needs, and I’m always throwing one on to keep me warm during the crisp summer nights. I almost never leave the house without my watch, which goes with basically any outfit and completes my look.
To me, fashion is all about exploring and expressing yourself. I can’t wait to get started and further express my love for clothes. Stay tuned for more outfits!
