Hey there Fashionistas/os! I’m Tori Hancock, and I’m pumped to be kicking off my first semester as a Style Guru this summer! After jumping around from college to college, I am firmly planted at North Carolina State University where I am pursuing a degree in art and design with a minor in business administration. My art and design degree is concentrated in fashion and fibers where I’m learning about the backend of the things we all love so much! I’m hoping to eventually combine my love of fashion and photography to work for a dope brand or magazine in the future.
This summer I will be spending my first six weeks based in Prague with weekend travels to a few other European cities. I am stoked to be taking you all along for the ride! It’s such a dream to be in Europe and have first hand exposure to the trends and street styles here. I can’t wait to find ways to incorporate the things I pick up into my style and hopefully influence your wardrobe as well!
My style is genuinely based on how I feel when I am getting dressed—it can go from boho to street style-chic in a matter of 24 hours. But no matter what style genre I am currently feeling, I believe that details are essential to any outfit. Whether those elements exist in the clothing itself, or are the perfect pile-on of accessories, it’s the little things that make the outfit matter. For this easy look, I put together some of my favorite basics paired with my much loved accent pieces. This hip-length, olive bomber has become one of my staples, and pairing it with a simple trapeze tank top and a pair of ripped jeans is a go-to. I love the lace straps of this Free People top coupled with a strappy bralette. I tied the outfit together with the addition of my favorite Jeffrey Campbell booties that are perfect for any season. My current obsession is mirrored sunglasses, and you can’t go wrong topping a simple look off with a fun pair of shades!
