Hello lovely Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Lauren Pannell and I am so excited to be apart of the #GuruGang this summer semester! I am a sophomore studying public relations and sales management at Purdue University with the hopes of a career in fashion or beauty marketing!
As a college student, my personal style can seem like a rollercoaster at times. There are days when I find myself gravitating toward T-shirts, running shorts, sneakers and a high ponytail, and other days where I take the time to put together an outfit, apply winged eyeliner and style my hair. Personally, I don’t take myself too seriously when it comes to beauty and fashion, and I just try to do whatever makes me feel good and most importantly, confident. My favorite piece of fashion advice comes from the orphans in Annie, “You’re never fully dressed without a smile!”
For some it may be shocking that I would have a passion for fashion, but I truly love the limitless opportunities that fashion gives a person. Whether you go for classic or trendy, boho or edgy, glamour or thrifty or a combination of all of these, fashion allows your unique personality to shine through your clothes and accessories without you having to say a word.
Aside from obsessing over all things fashion and beauty, I do have other passions and hobbies. I love being active, reading a good book, watching a great movie, enjoying the presence of friends and family and appreciating all of the other wonderful little things in this world.
Again, I am so excited to be working with CollegeFashionista and cannot wait to share with you all the incredible new trends and styles that will pop up during this summer!
