Hello again! I am back for my second semester at CollegeFashionista as a Style Guru and I could not be more excited. The previous semester really taught me a lot about writing interesting content, editing my posts as well as pictures and developing my personal style further. It is so much fun getting to read all of the other Style Guru’s articles and get inspiration from their photos and outfits. Stalking everyone’s Instagram profiles is definitely one of my favorite things to do when I am looking for outfit inspiration.
I am currently attending the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia where I am a marketing major. Specifically, with my major, I want to go into a career involved in fashion marketing which is a big reason CollegeFashionista is such a great opportunity. The upcoming fall semester will be the start of my senior year at UMW and that is terrifying and exciting all at the same time.
Since high school, and even since the start of last semester, I have gotten way more adventurous and creative with my style. It is so much fun to wear outfits that are out of the box or try something new that I have never worn before.
Just in the past month, I have really gotten into the bodysuit trend. It took me a little while to get on board with wearing a leotard again because that hasn’t happened since the first grade when I quit ballet after one class. But, now that I have gotten over that, I am completely obsessed with bodysuits. They’re so versatile. A bodysuit can be casual when paired with ripped jeans, a little dressier with high-waisted jeans like i did with this outfit or even more polished when worn with a midi skirt.
I am also a huge fan of accessories. I know that Coco Chanel said that before you leave the house, you should always take off one thing, but, I cannot abide by this rule. I love layering multiple necklaces, and I always have at least three rings on. Accessories just have a way of taking a simple look from boring to exciting so easily.
I can’t wait to see everyone’s looks this summer! I know I’m excited to trade in my booties for sandals! Here’s to another amazing semester as a Style Guru!
