Hey guys! My name is Helyne Levy and I will be entering my sophomore year as a telecommunications-news major at the University of Florida.
This is my first semester writing for CollegeFashionista and I am beyond excited. Living in South Florida all my life, my wardrobe revolves around the never-ending heat wave. I would describe my style as boho with a blend of a hipster edge. My closet consists of high-waisted shorts, crop tops, T-shirt dresses and anything lightweight and comfortable. However, even in the scorching heat, I am usually caught wearing a black accessory. I love the wearing black pieces because I feel that they are always so versatile, slimming and chic.
This summer, I want to incorporate brighter colors and faded stripes into my seasonal style. In this outfit, I’m wearing a light blue and white striped romper with nude snake skin sandals. This outfit is perfect for a Sunday brunch with your family or friends. Gladiator sandals have become a huge fashion trend recently and I love the fact that they can dress up a simple dress or romper. I added some bracelets and rings to tie in my look. Alex and Ani bracelets are my absolute favorite accessory. They are so neutral, fun, flirty and go with any outfit. Stick a brown purse and your favorite dark shades and this outfit is good for any day time outing!
