Hello to all my Fashionistas out there! My name is Kathleen Hughes, and I am a first-time Style Guru! I am pumped to take on this adventure with you and explore everything that summer fashion has to offer. I just finished up my freshman year at Wofford College, and I am anticipating an English major with a concentration in film and digital. I am blessed to have the opportunity to live and work in Charleston, South Carolina, for the summer! I have a feeling this colorful city will be the perfect backdrop for some of the greatest summer fashion yet.
I have always been very organized and most satisfied when my surroundings were clean, tidy and aesthetically pleasing. That part of myself has definitely inspired my love for fashion in an unexpected way. I love the symmetry and the finished look that a perfectly styled outfit provides. Clean lines, neutral colors and dainty accessories are the foundation of my style. I am a firm believer in the power of a statement piece that ties an outfit together, and you will soon recognize my love for a bold lip and any piece of clothing in army green.
Throughout this summer, I hope to mimic the city of Charleston in my fashion by looking for styles that encompass classic southern charm with a trendy city flair. I am also going to focus on how the lovely Fashionistas of Charleston cope with the unforgiving heat that will be beating down while still maintaining their fabulous looks!
