Hey everyone! My name is Tara and I will be junior at the wonderful Kent State University in Ohio. I am currently a fashion merchandising major with a fashion media and marketing minor. A few of my favorite things are watching horror movies, playing with dogs and of course, shopping. I always like to be kept updated on the latest styles and trends, and what a great way to do so through CollegeFashionista! This is my first time being a Style Guru and I can not wait to share all my articles with everyone.
Fashion has always been an important part of my life. Ever since I was a little kid, I have always loved drawing fashion figures and different garments. Whether it was coming up with my own designs or getting inspirations from specific articles of clothing, I just loved to draw them. This passion has helped me discover my own personal style and grow into the Fashionista I am today.
I have always thought of my style as some sort of mix between bohemian, edgy and casual. Anything involving fringe or leather is always my go-to when I’m deciding what to wear. The fringed kimono is one of my favorite add-ons to any outfit. It can give a simple outfit just what it needs to stand out. You can pair the fringe kimono with almost anything from jeans to casual dresses. I chose to layer the kimono on top of a plain black long sleeve with cut-outs to create a more casual look. I threw on a pair of ripped jeans to bring out the edgier side of my style, and then I wore a pair of black wedges to pull in the black from the long sleeve top.
One thing about my style that stands out are the four rings that I wear everyday, and trust me, when I say everyday, I mean it. I love anything silver, so when it comes to adding a little extra to an outfit, my rings will always be seen. I added some bangles to match the rings, and a choker necklace to pull in the overall look.
This is just a little about me and my personal style! I hope everyone enjoyed it and will continue to look out for future articles, stay RAD!
