Hi Fashionistas/os, I’m looking forward to an incredibly RAD semester! As someone who is interning in NYC this summer, my style can vary from day to day. Some days I want to be as comfortable as possible, while other days I want to emulate a new trend I saw on my walk to the office. What I absolutely love about Manhattan is the amount of risks you can take with your style—practically anything is acceptable in the city that never sleeps! Though I do love trying something new every once in a while, sometimes it’s just best to stick to the basics. In that case, I present you one of my go-to outfits.
I’ve had this Forever 21 dress for a while now (therefore it is sadly no longer available), but it still remains a go-to. I love its ability to be either dressed up or dressed down based on the occasion. For a bit of a more professional feel, I often pair it with these tan wedges I’m loving right now from T.J. Maxx. Not only are they super cute but also super comfortable—that means no blisters as I’m running through the streets to take care of errands! As for jewelry, most days I usually skip it because of the Manhattan heat. I will typically throw on some minimalistic rings and my Madewell shades and call it a day.
Though I definitely love layering and mixing different patterns and textures, one thing that I really try to focus on during the summer is minimalism. For me, summer is about striking a balance between a killer outfit and a killer adventure!
