Hello my fellow fashion lovers!
My name is Samantha Favela and I am beyond excited to be returning as a summer Style Guru. Currently I am a sophomore at the University of Texas at Austin majoring in journalism. Being a Style Guru for my first year of college has been such a wonderful experience that has given me access to a fantastic community of fashion lovers just like me.
My love of fashion started the instant I opened my first fashion magazine and it has only grown since then. Interning with CollegeFashionista has allowed me to combine both my passions of fashion and writing and add another, photography. Fashion has become the perfect outlet to express myself and I love that it allows me to be as unique as my outfit.
Starting college has certainly changed the way I dress in the mornings. I look for easy but chic outfits to throw on as I rush out the door. Lately, flowy skirts and dresses have been my go-to and I am constantly on the look out for more whenever I go shopping. With the upcoming hot summer weather, especially where I live, loose and breezy skirts and dresses will continue to be my go-to when I pick my outfit for the day.
So far my favorite skirt is this striped J.Crew one that I paired with a sleeveless denim shirt and a pair of nude heeled sandals for a more dressed up appearance. I topped the look off with silver hoop earrings and stackable bracelets. For the days I run errands, I would definitely rock this outfit with a graphic T-shirt and a pair of great tennis shoes or sandals.
