Dresses have always been a go-to outfit for me because they’re cute, comfortable and simple; it’s an entire outfit in itself! One of my favorite trends for this summer includes flirty, off-the-shoulder blouses and dresses. The off-the-shoulder look is great for a variety of occasions, especially for a hot summer weekend in the sun!

Here in Iowa, many people travel to the lake for a relaxing weekend getaway. Of course there is always the option of going boating, but a popular lake in the area offers a variety of entertainment that calls for an outfit other than a swimsuit. This outfit is perfect for a day full of shopping around, soaking in the sun at a lakeside restaurant and going out with friends to enjoy the live band later on. The combination of this cute off-the-shoulder dress paired with a cross-body bag and neutral block heel sandals is super trendy and allows for an easy day to night transition. Just lose the sunglasses, and you’re good to go!
