Hello, everyone! My name is Safiya Taylor and I absolutely love fashion! I am an incoming junior studying communication at sunny Arizona State University! This is my first semester as I style guru and I’m so excited for all the amazing opportunities ahead!
I remember falling in love with fashion as a little girl. I loved dressing up in the craziest outfits I could find and strutting all around the house. My little sister and I would put on fashion shows for our stuffed animals, showing off all of the latest trends. We would organize everything, from the outfits to the lighting. Since then my love of fashion has only grown! Reading magazines and scoping out the next trends has become one of my favorite pastimes. I love seeing how my individual style has grown and evolved over the years!
My main focus when putting together outfits is how comfortable I will be! This means most days you will find me wearing yoga pants and a T-shirt. When I’m not dressed head to two in workout gear, my style is rather eclectic. I love pairing flowy girly pieces with edgy details. I love wearing a good pair of booties and my mom’s vintage denim jacket in nearly every outfit.
In this outfit, I’m wearing a embroidered babydoll dress with some mocassin style shoes. I love this dress because it’s so easy to throw on during a busy summer day! These shoes give the outfit a casual vibe, perfect for exploring around town. I wore my favorite Quay sunnies to accessorize!
