Busy summer? Well, of course. This summer has already and will become increasingly busy. In the last two weeks already I’ve had events ranging from college graduations to serving my duties as a bridesmaid at my cousin’s bridal shower. I’m sure you must all be in somewhat of the same boat!
Wearing the same thing is obviously out of the question (this Lizzie McGuire is no outfit repeater), so I’ve found rompers, jumpsuits and dresses to be more heaven sent than usual. Rompers, jumpsuits and dresses are inexpensive and are very versatile. For long summer events they’re all lightweight, easy to throw on and easy to throw off after the long day/night.
Upon trolling the Vogue website, I came across the Issa 2016 ready-to-wear spring collection. I admired the Birdie dress for it’s light and angelic resemblance on the runway. Then I found that I was looking for something more casual for summer events, and a search began.
The romper I am pictured in stood out to me online from White Fox Boutique for its beautiful draping. I’m always worried about length of rompers because I am on the taller side of the spectrum and the beautiful drape across the back is not only elegant, but it makes me feel more comfortable while still attaining glamour. Unfortunately the link for the exact romper is disabled; despite the fact, there is an identical one from an Australian boutique also based online, Princess Polly. It’s just important to feel comfortable as it does to feel stylish—especially for long events. I’ve found myself shopping from White Fox in bulk for their rompers, dresses and playsuits. The price point is great and the shipping isn’t staggering for international buying. I’ve had issues like we all have with not getting the proper quality of products but I’ve found this boutique to be quite reliable.
Amongst having a cute one piece, sunglasses are my go to accessory. This summer, cool ’90s vibed reflective sunglasses have started a sunglass revolution. As a ’90s fashion enthusiast, I picked up these gray reflective cat eye sunnies from Quay Australia from none other than ASOS. They add a chic element to any outfit!
On this particular day I was headed to a barbecue so I paired the romper with lace-up wedges I got on Amazon from Allegra K. I would also pair it with a cute pair of gladiator sandals depending on the occasion.
As a part of your personal summer survival guide make sure to add in this helpful hint of one pieces! Remember to worry less, have fun, relax and soak up the sun!
