I remember watching Gossip Girl for the first time thinking “oh my goodness Blake Lively is so stunning, how does she get her makeup like that?” If you really obsess over Blake’s flawless makeup like I do, then you notice that she has a signature look. Blake is always glowing with lots of highlighter, sparkly eyeshadow and a nice bold lip.
This Fashionista knows how to rock this look effortlessly. The point of a bold lip is for it to be bold! You want the focus to be on your chic lipstick, no matter what the shade might be. This Fashionista wears a classic T-shirt dress with fringe sandals and it’s a perfect pairing to her pink lip. She also wears simple jewelry such as a Lokai bracelet, gold watch and a long claw necklace to accessorize her look. This Fashionista styles her hair so well with soft curls so they’re still done, but simple and chic. I just love this look, because its so refreshing/dewy looking it just makes you look healthy. It’s such a fun way to add a pop of color to your look, if you’re afraid to do it with clothing try it with makeup!
What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: This look is so simple to recreate and its how I like to do my makeup as well. First you need a nice moisturizer, because to have dewy skin you need hydrated skin. Light-weight foundation is another must for this look, it allows for nice coverage without being too cake faced. Pairing foundation with a good bronzer, blush and highlighter are also key to achieving this look. Highlighter is probably the most important, because that along with a nice matte brown eyeshadow are what you need for the eyes. Just pop a little bit of highlighter on the inner corner of your eyes, cheekbones, browbone, cupids bow and then you have a beautiful glow. Can’t forget about that lip though, this Fashionista used a bold pink matte lip but you can achieve this look with any color. Purple, pink, red and even coral are colors to rock.
