Second semester has finally come to a close and I am beyond excited that the summer has finally arrived. As college students, the idea of a vacation is a dream come true, and after the stress of finals exams, all we want is throw on a bathing suit and sunglasses while listening to some good music. With beautiful weather coming our way, we Fashionistas/os should take advantage and dress for the occasion.
What is a Fashionista’s favorite part of the summer? Is it the spontaneous beach trips? The long walks along the shoreline? The beach books? No—of course not! A Fashionista’s favorite part is the freedom of vacation and being able to try out outfits that they wouldn’t normally get to wear at home or while at school.
This Fashionista is usually spotted in this look while visiting her favorite vacation destination, the Hamptons. When on vacation, we tend to be on the move in terms of changing up of activities. When thinking about how hot the summer can get we tend to lean towards wearing shorts and skirts to stay cool. However, during the summer months at nighttime it tends to get chilly, so jeans and a light top are a good way to go. This Fashionista paired her eyelet white shirt with layering necklaces, a bulk bag and a pair of wedges for an evening out. To accompany the outfit during the daytime, a pair of sunglasses perfectly complements her vacation look.
When going on vacation, it is essential to be comfortable, trendy and chic while having an outfit that works during all times of day. This Fashionista had the right idea when choosing an outfit that could be styled during the day as well as a night out. This outfit could be worn for activities like dinner in a restaurant, a shopping trip, or a round of mini golf. She also picked an outfit that is incredibly simple to recreate, as well as dress up or dress down!
