Hello Fashionistas/os! My name is Lauren Fick. I am a rising junior at Saint Joseph’s University majoring in communication studies and minoring in journalism. My passion for fashion started at a young age. As a child, I enjoyed dressing my Barbies for all sorts of occasions by mix and matching their looks. I am always in search of the perfect outfit and love how it can make you feel unstoppable and strong. I am thrilled to join the CollegeFashionista team this summer and show you some awesome Fashionistas/os!
I grew up outside Scranton, Pennsylvania, otherwise known as the home of The Office. I have always used fashion to express my personality. Growing up I attended catholic school. I wore a uniform every day, but I did not let this stop me from expressing myself. It only taught me that the perfect outfit is in the details and that accessories are key. I believe “style is a way to say who you are without having to speak.” This quote by Rachel Zoe represents how I like to look at fashion. Your style shows the world who you are.
I would describe my style as classic-chic with a feminine flare. From a tender age, my mother instilled a love of color and patterns into my style. She always said, “An outfit is never complete without a pop of color!” To this day, I live by this rule and am always incorporating it into my look. I am always excited to feature what’s trending.
