Fashion has always been a dream of mine since I was a little girl strutting down my driveway in my feather scarf and plastic heels from my princess dress up box. Some of my favorite memories take me back to when I would go through my mother’s closet trying on her fancy heels and dresses that I would trip over because they were so long, and trying to put on as many bracelets as a could fit on my tiny arms.
Fashion lets me express who I am and lets me set my own trends. As a fashion merchandising major at Kent State University in Ohio, I am able to study what I love and broaden my views in the fashion world. As I watch fashion change and evolve over the years, months, weeks and days, it only makes me more excited to be studying something that can inspire people.
I am always looking at celebrities and other bloggers so I can find fashion inspiration. I want to use that inspiration to inspire others. I want to set trends, create bold and new looks and express my style while being able to share it with others.
I am so excited to be able to start this summer off right and take this Fashionista journey. I am looking forward to sharing my ideas along with inspiration I see from other people. On that note, enjoy the rays and keep it cool!
For this look, I wore a white, eyelet top and paired it with blue, linen pants. Since the pants have such a wide leg, I wore chunky platforms to show off the flare of the pant, To accessorize, I wore a black brimmed hat, my Swarovski bracelet and a Bourbon and Boweties bangle.
