With summer in full swing, and everyone’s tan coming to a peak, there is no better way to show off a bronze glow by an off-the-shoulder top. Off-the-shoulder tops and dresses have been extremely popular recently, and let’s be honest, it’s a great way to show off that sun-kissed tan.
My inspiration for completing my look was taken from the Ohne Titel’s spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection. While putting together my outfit, I chose an off-the-shoulder top, which was a trend featured multiple times in their collection. I love the trendy, summery vibe any off-the-shoulder pieces give off.
Ohne Titel’s collection styled these tops with long pants or a skirt. To keep this look casual and cooler for the summer, I opted out the longer-length bottoms for high-waisted shorts. I wore my favorite pair and thought these shorts were the perfect match in order to complete my inspired look. Ohne Titel incorporated many denim-colored blues into their spring 2016 collection and the wash of my shorts were a very similar shade.
Although my inspiration was taken from a spring collection, this new trend couldn’t be more perfect for the summer. Off-the-shoulder tops are so easy to throw on and give a relaxed look without trying too hard. My style is always evolving, but the one thing that remains the same is that I always make sure I’m comfortable. Off-the-shoulder tops are great because not only are they super comfortable, but they are so breezy and you don’t have to worry about dealing with annoying straps in the heat.
One of my favorite parts of their collection was the combination of neutral and bright colors. The collection was seen with colors like a vibrant poppy, light blue and teal being paired with white and black. In my last article, I wrote about incorporating a pop of color into an outfit, and the Ohne Title spring 2016 collection exhibited that trend perfectly.
If you haven’t hopped on to the bandwagon of this off-the-shoulder trend, it is definitely not too late. Take advantage of the fact that summer is still here (and your tan) and show off your shoulders!
