Hi everyone! My name is Kara Brown and I am currently a sophomore at High Point University in High Point, NC. I am beyond ecstatic for this opportunity to be a fall Style Guru for CollegeFashionista!
My family always tells me about when I was a little girl, I was always a fashion queen. I would wander down old brick pathways in my bright colored sundress and snatch up every flower I saw. Ever since then, my love for fashion and appreciation for different styles within the world around me has continued to grow drastically.
The majority of my wardrobe consists of bold colors that can be easily tied together with a few statement pieces to create the perfect outfit. I chose to wear a trendy, lemon colored, off-the-shoulder top that I believe matches my outgoing/always looking for fun personality. I love this top because you can easily pair it with your favorite jeans, a cute pencil skirt or casual shorts to make the look really start to come together.
I was able to tie together the main pieces of my outfit together by lacing up my favorite pair of American Eagle sandals. They are the perfect shoes to add a pinch of boho to any look while still being comfortable to walk around in during days filled with back to back classes on campus.
No outfit is complete without statement accessories! I always am wearing my Fossil watch to keep my day flowing on schedule. Life as a college student can get pretty hectic! I also slid on my gold ‘K’ initial Alex & Ani bracelet along with my elephant charm bracelet from J.Crew, just to add staples of my personality into my look.
Fashion is so important because when you look good, you feel good. There is no better way to start off your day than with a cute outfit.
