My name is Lauren Goldstein, and I am so excited to start my first semester as a Style Guru. I am a rising sophomore at Syracuse University and I am studying marketing and retail management. When I’m not doing homework or studying in the business school, you can find me grabbing a cup of coffee or making food in my apartment.
I tend to keep my style to a similar aesthetic, but will change as trends continue to change. I would describe my style as simple but edgy. Black is by far my favorite color and is usually incorporated in different ways into my everyday outfits. My go-to accessory at the moment is a choker in any kind of shape, style and color. Whether it’s Nike, adidas or Converse, I love sneakers; not only for their style, but their comfort as well. In the freezing temperatures of Syracuse, New York, you will always catch me in something warm, such as a big, comfy turtleneck sweater or a long sleeve T-shirt paired with a scarf.
As your typical poor college student, I am always looking for decent prices but not compromising my style. My mom always taught to me have a few pieces in your wardrobe that you can wear season after season without going out of style. One of those being a plain white T-shirt. You can layer it with a scarf, wear it under a cardigan and pair with it with just about any kind of pants. Another item being the perfect pair of jeans. Although they are hard to come by, the right pair will fit you forever and keep you in style. My favorite pair of jeans is the pair shown above. I’ve had them for a few years and they consistently to make every outfit perfect.
My outfit consists of a white blouse with a navy blue lace bralette underneath. The light layered on top of the dark gives some added detail. This is paired with blue jeans that have slits in the knees and brown strappy sandals. I’m wearing my favorite choker, which is made up of gold stars.
Looking forward to a great semester. Can’t wait to see your RAD outfits!
