The feeling of the sun on a fall day, laughing so hard I can’t breath, a statement piece of jewelry, shoes, giving advice to a friend, finding a good book to read and more shoes; these are some of my favorite things. My name is Shelby, to put a name to the description. This is my first year for CollegeFashionista and being a college student. I am currently attending Kent State University, I’m getting a major in fashion merchandising and a minor in fashion media. My goal after I graduate is to attend Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising to get a degree in visual communications and pursue my dream of becoming a fashion stylist.
Getting down to business, my favored style is fall fashion. I love getting to wear sweaters and nothing too heavy. I absolutely LOVE the colors and I die over combat boots and cozy scarfs. Apart from my favorite type of fashion my style is a mix of everything; one day I can be head to toe classic and the next day I will be edgy. I dress however I am feeling or whatever piece in my closet calls my name. Lately I’ve been reaching towards a more laid back look with simple pieces, but I will throw on a statement piece. Whether that be some jewelry, shoes or a patterned shirt or skirt. The above pictures are an example of the look I have been into lately, a casual vibe but also trying to make an impression.
This year is full of new, scary and exciting surprises for me; from a new school to a look into a future career. I am so happy and thankful to be given this opportunity as a fashion blogger. Hopefully I can help to inspire girls like other fashion bloggers and YouTubers have helped me. Can’t wait to see what the future holds! Cheers to a new semester!
