Another semester, another bio! My name is Katie, and I’m a senior communication studies major at SUNY Oneonta. I act as the vice president for Student Fashion Society, which is the fashion organization on my campus. I also started a blog this summer entitled Sonder Space. This is my fourth semester with CollegeFashionista. I’m excited to return as a Style Guru and have the opportunity to write again!
Fashion is a way to express yourself! Over the years, I’ve shown off my personality through my outfits. Fads come and go, but personal style never grows old. I love the minimalist look and dressing up these outfits with nice accent pieces. Black seems to be a staple color in my wardrobe. I feel that it has a nice contrast against my porcelain white skin.
I went with a classic look of mine for my first post of the semester! Crop tops are my life, so I decided to wear my black leather crop. The zipper in the back of the top gives it an edgy feel. I paired it with high-rise denim jeggings. American Eagle Outfitters is my go-to place for jean shopping. With my long legs, they make sizes long enough to not make my pants look cropped. Also, I added a current trend—bandanas! The red adds a pop of color. My slip-on shoes put comfort in my step, and they’re a breeze to slide into as you leave your place quickly for class. Lastly, I picked up a new backpack. It’s got a bunch of pockets all over for extra storage.
Fall is my favorite season for fashion, so I’m ecstatic to share some of the looks I find on campus! Be sure to follow me on social media so you get updated with my future posts. It’s also a great way for me to be able to interact with you guys. Here’s to a #RAD semester!
