Hey y’all! My name is Bri. This fall, I will be starting my junior year at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where I intend to major in journalism and strategic communications. I’m so excited and honored to be back for my second semester as a Style Guru with CollegeFashionista. I would consider myself a fashion and beauty enthusiast, so to be writing and sharing my inspiration and appreciation for fashion is a dream come true.
I was born and raised in a suburban Wisconsin town; however, my mom always tells me that I was meant to live in the city (I agree). It didn’t take too long for me to realize that I love to shop and I love fashion. It also didn’t take my mother long to learn that I was very particular about what I wore and how I wore it. I have to give her major credit for allowing my strong-willed self to always pick out my own outfits no matter how ridiculous they were. If it weren’t for that, I don’t think I would have discovered my love for fashion at such a young age. So that’s where it all began, at the age of four picking out the perfect outfit, and I haven’t looked back since. Obviously, your girl loves to shop, but besides that, I like to spend time on the lake, hang out with friends, play soccer and play with my puppy.
My personal style has always been something that gives me confidence and allows me to express myself. If I had to put it into words, I would consider my style classic and minimalistic, but I usually just see inspiration and go with it. I love simple and effortless, but I also love making it personal, with my own playful twist.
My look today embraces the little bit of summer we have left. I paired a traditional pair of white jeans with a poplin off-the-shoulder top that comes in a classic navy stripe. I tied this together with a pair of leather sandals and a small suede saddle bag from Tory Burch, oversized tortoise-shell sunglasses, gold accessories and pearl earrings.
I can’t wait to share my inspiration and appreciation for apparel over the next few months with you guys, so make sure to head over to my page each month to check it out!
