STYLE GURU BIO: Brieana Gaglioti

Hello my fellow Fashionistas/os! My name is Brieana Gaglioti, I’m from Glen Mills, Pennsylvania. I am a senior design and merchandising major at Drexel University. This is the first article that I’ve ever written for CollegeFashionista, and I can’t tell you guys how excited I am! Let me tell you a few things about myself.

I haven’t always known what I wanted to become (to be honest, I’m now in my senior year and I’m still not sure), but I have always been certain of the things that I love. I love all superhero films, Julia Roberts movies and strawberry ice cream. I love learning the new ways that one can express themselves through their personal style. I love that fashion is not only an art form, but a language. It is spoken in all countries around the world and can be comprehended with no barrier, whether it be social, racial, cultural or sexually orientated. Fashion is expressive and ever-changing. It does not discriminate or show prejudice. It does not live inside a woman’s dress size or on the price sticker at Neiman Marcus, but instead it exists within the open mind.

My personal style changes all the time, but I always feel like my roots are the same. I will forever gravitate to ripped up concert T-shirts, T-shirts with my favorite superheroes on them and my dads Hanes tank tops. I feel best in my favorite T-shirts paired with my more expensive staple pieces. I think everything looks good with a leather jacket, all jeans look better if they’re destroyed and that you can never wear too many rings.

I created this look because it’s versatile, comfortable and sexy all at once. I love bodysuits  because it adds a little bit of sexy to any outfit without being over the top or distracting. I paired my black bodysuit with one of my favorite pair of skinny jeans. Everyone who knows me, knows that I can be a sucker for booties—they’re comfortable and they can be worn with everything! I paired my favorite booties with this look to make it an easy outfit that can be worn day or night. Lately, I’ve been loving to tie my plaid shirts around the waist. I love the way it accentuates my curves, especially with skinny jeans. And last but not least, rings are always necessary. Always.

Coco Chanel once said, “I don’t do fashion. I am Fashion.” So together, let us rip a page from her book. Let us explore areas of our personal style we have never explored before. I can’t wait to inspire, and be inspired by al of you.
