Hi everyone! My name is Katarina Ward and I’m super stoked to start this amazing internship with CollegeFashionista! I’m currently a sophomore photography major at Kutztown University and I’m originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Growing up, I was always wearing dresses, skirts and fancy things 24/7. I don’t think you’d ever find me in a pair of pants.
As I grew over the years, my style has evolved so much. My go-to is always a pair of leggings, Converse and an oversized pocket tee. This outfit is one of my favorites because of how versatile each piece is. Skater skirts can either be dressed up with a pair of wedges or flats, or you can dress it down, like I did, with a simple pair of Converse sneakers. This outfit is perfect for a night out with your friends, going to an amusement park or even just going to the movies. The sneakers give your feet some love while you have fun on your night out.
I’ve always been drawn to floral prints and super soft fabrics—which is all this skirt is! The waistband is super stretchy which allows me to wear it high-waisted with a crop top, as pictured, or wear it down at my hips with a flowy top.
Converse sneakers have been a staple piece in my wardrobe for as long as I can remember. Even when I was little, I was always wearing them. Converse add comfort and a laid back feeling to all my outfits, no matter the occasion. You’ll always see me rocking a pair of these on my way to class, work or just to grab a bite to eat.
