Summer is out, fall is (almost) in, and in New York it almost seem like we missed the transition due to the inclement heat wave that just won’t go away. Needless to say that looking glamorous while dealing with the high temperatures has been a little tricky. Still I’ve been able to survive for the most part.
As I looked for inspiration for my next CollegeFashionista article I came across the Cynthia Rowley fall 2016 ready-to-wear collection and found the common trend to be flowers. Even though that is usually a spring print, I found this Zara skirt in the sale section that I felt was perfect for the occasion. A simple Forever 21 tank top would keep me fresh but then I need a pop of color. That’s where my cherry Longchamp courtesy of mom came into the picture. Also from mom my custom made flower earrings that I will be wearing more of pretty soon.
A nice memory of this outfit? I took these pictures right before I went to the CollegeFashionista summer event at Bandier in NYC with Alyssa Coscareli from Refinery29 and Kristie Dash who is now the senior editor of Obsessee and who complimented my earrings (Thanks again mom!).
I wanted to take the opportunity to encourage all current and future Style Gurus to attend as many events/workshops by CollegeFashionistas because you never know who you might meet and all the fun that you can have (Like I did that day).
Until next time and may better weather be ever in our favor!
