Hey Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Katie Magiafas, and I am a senior at the University of South Carolina studying retail with an emphasis in fashion merchandising. I honestly cannot believe I’m already starting my senior year. It feels like just yesterday I was buying textbooks for my very first semester in college! I couldn’t be more excited to start my second semester with CollegeFashionista. I cannot wait to show our campus trends at South Carolina!
I’ve loved everything about fashion since the time I went in my mom’s closet as a kid to try on all her shoes. I always love to play around with fashion. Recently I’ve been in love with the pin and patches trend! Adding a couple fun patches to a pair of jeans can transform an entire outfit. I live for big sunglasses, and have jumped on the mirror lenses bandwagon. I think it’s awesome when students on campus show their personalities through their style!
In between classes, I’m speed walking to the nearest coffee shop. Even though Columbia, South Carolina is known as being “famously hot” I still need my coffee, and the occasional pastry. I am really interested in photography and learning as much as I can about Photoshop. Social media might as well be my life source. My phone is constantly glued to my hand. I love finding new Instagram accounts for inspiration. My goal is to get a job that will take me around the world. I have always loved traveling—currently London is my favorite city and I would give anything to work with fashion there.
