Hi Fashionistas! My name is Kaila Lewis, and I am from Annapolis, Maryland. I am a rising senior at the University of South Carolina, where I am a public relations major and fashion merchandising minor. I may only be 5’2”, but don’t worry, I will be sure to make up for my height in personality and style!
I think it is really hard to pinpoint my exact style these days because I love to take chances and try something new. I studied abroad in Florence, Italy last semester, and I enjoyed the chance to embrace European style into my wardrobe and develop a more unique look of my own. Even though I feel like I have added a bunch of black into my mix of clothes, I love to throw in a pop of color to make myself stand out.
Style is important to me because I think that it is the best way to show off my personality. You can also tell my mood by what I decide to wear that day. If I am feeling really bright and cheery, expect me to show off my glow in one of my favorite colors, pink! I always like to stay true to my college colors, and have learned to embrace them as my favorite color combo into my wardrobe: garnet and black. Keep an eye out, and I am sure you will see these colors pop up a lot on my profile in the future. College is a great time to find yourself, but trust me Fashionistas, it is also a wonderful time to find your style as well.
I love this easy outfit for the fall season. My shirt was a bargain find, and awesome to just throw on and go. I did not think I liked boyfriend jeans until I found these. They are a skinny cut and fit tightly on my short legs in order for me to not look as short. My shoes are actually from the kids section, but it was a great deal when I am on a college budget!
I am so glad I got the opportunity to be a Style Guru, and I can’t wait to see what this fall has in store for me! Let’s have some fun!
