Hi! I hope everyone had a great summer! My name is Mikala Renda and I was a summer intern for CollegeFashionista and now I am back for the fall and winter months. I am super excited to be back again and to give all the CollegeFashionistas advice on fashion. I am a sophomore at Columbia College Chicago and I am double majoring in fashion design and fashion business. Other than fashion, some of my interests include running, reading, photography, modeling, exploring, music and spending time with the people that I care about the most.
Fashion is all about the individual. Everyone is able to have their own unique style and wear what they feel most confident in. For me personally, I think that is what makes fashion great. It allows women and men to express themselves however they choose. Fashion gives confidence and makes people feel worthy. The best thing about fashion is that it gives power to the individual and puts the importance not in fitting in, but on being your own person. With fall right around the corner, I think we are going to see a lot of confident individuals with unique styles on campus’s around the country.
Fall seems to bring out the best styles and to see what inspiration it brings to college students on campus is exciting. I cannot wait to provide style advice to all the women and men who want to see what college students are wearing. I hope my blog can give inspiration to all people seeking it.
