Hi everyone! My name is Mirelle Hassler. A little bit about myself; I just started my junior year at Penn State University. I’m majoring in communication arts and sciences, and am currently working on a minor in media studies. This is my first semester interning for CollegeFashionista, and I’m super excited to get started! I can’t wait to read everyone’s awesome articles, while also sharing a little bit of my style through mine.
I started to really care about fashion when I noticed the effect it could have on my mood and how I feel about myself. Finding the perfect outfit or loving the way a certain top fits can easily change how I’m feeling. Dressing nice has the power to make me happier and I love that. Another aspect of fashion that I love is one’s ability to make it their own. Style is an expression of yourself, and there are pretty much no rules to it. That is why I don’t consider myself to have one specific look. I’ve tried pretty much every style. Some days I’m feeling preppier and will put on a sweater, necklace, jeans and riding boots. Other days I’ll want to go a little edgier so I’ll throw on a pair of joggers, Converse, a lace bralette and T-shirt. Half the fun of fashion is switching it up and trying new things!
For my featured look, It only seemed fitting that I wear my favorite top. I love pretty much any off-the-shoulder top, but this one especially due to the beautiful print and colors. I paired it with high-wasted, ripped skinny jeans and wedges. I accessorize pretty much every outfit I wear with my plain gold initial necklace, a couple bangles and a ring or two. Jewelry is such an easy way to spice up any outfit, casual or fancy, so I make sure to take advantage of that.
I’m really looking forward to this semester and showcasing some more styles and tips. Thanks for reading!
