Hello Fashionista/os !
My name is Taylor Newton, and I am beyond excited to be a Style Guru this semester. I am a sophomore at Prince George’s Community College. I am still just taking general classes for right now, but I do plan to transfer to FIT in the fall of 2017. My love for fashion started at a really young age when my grandmother would take me shopping at the mall. We would spend hours in the mall shopping and looking for beautiful clothes. If it was not for her, I probably would not love fashion as much as I do now.
As I became older fashion became a way for me to express my creativity. I get that enormous rush of adrenaline when putting together a new outfit. To me fashion is an art, and it is definitely something that shows off your personality. So knowing my personality when I threw together this outfit I had to either go for something glam or something girly. So I went for something really girly and feminine.
I bought the yellow blouse at Forever 21. The purse was bought from H&M and the shoes were also bought from Forever 21. I thought that the yellow was a beautiful color for this time of the year, just before fall begins to set in. To me, this outfit expresses who I am and shows off my individuality.
That’s one of my favorite parts of fashion is that you get to show off your unique and individual self. If you do not get anything else from my posts my hope is that it inspires you to be yourself and to embrace yourself. There is nothing better than an original!
