Hello, beautiful Fashionistas/os! My name is Sydney Purdon and I am so thrilled to be back writing for CollegeFashionista this semester. I feel I am starting to understand what it means to be a Style Guru and will be working hard to improve each article from here on out. Back-to-school means fall is approaching, giving me great opportunities to write about countless styles. From what to wear to class, to how to stay warm yet fashionable in the winter, you will see me writing about it.
I am currently a sophomore at Ohio State University majoring in fashion and retail studies. I am looking forward to taking classes focusing more with my major this semester, for example aesthetics of fashion and retail. I am also looking forward to seeing the different styles around campus. Going to such a huge school with such a diverse group of people means the style never gets boring.
If you can’t tell from my other articles, I am obsessed with ‘70s fashion. I never want this trend to fade because of how much I enjoy the apparel and accessories that accompany it. I honestly believe I was meant to be a ‘70s child, so it once again inspired my outfit above.
I paired my high-waisted flared cut jeans with an off-the-shoulder flowy, white top. I kept the outfit simple by wearing my hair natural and only adding my modest Tiffany necklace. I wore my favorite pair of tan Seneca sandals that go with everything to top off the outfit.
I cannot wait to see what this first semester of sophomore year holds. I am eager to read my fellow Style Guru’s articles and see what inspires them. I hope everyone has a RAD semester!
