Welcome back RAD gang! And if you’re new here, welcome to the crew! I cannot believe it is my third year at Kennesaw State University and my second year as a Style Guru. My how time flies. For those who do not know me, my name is Shannon and go to Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. My major is biology with a minor in public relations. I would love to be a doctor for a professional ice hockey team or take Anna Wintour’s job at Vogue magazine
School and life have been keeping me on my toes but I think I have managed so far; difficult classes, internships and a trip to DisneyLand have all been quite the experience but I am excited for what this year has in store for me.
Without a doubt, fall is my favorite time of year. The air is crisp, Halloween is just around the corner and I get to wear oversized sweaters. I have stocked up on chunky sweaters and leggings and I cannot wait to show them off, but for now I have to deal with Georgia heat.
I whipped up this outfit as soon as I bought these jeans but I never got a chance to wear it. With summers being brutally hot (for me at least), it’s tough to wear skinny jeans and a black top even if it is sheer. Speaking of that, how cute is that top! I found it when I was digging through the sale rack at JCPenny and the crop top underneath was $2 at Forever 21. The sunglasses were $3 at Charlotte Russe. The only thing expensive about this outfit is my shoes from DSW. I must have my mother’s deal finding skill I suppose.
What I love the most about this outfit is how simple it is because I love simple. Life is so busy and if I can cut the time I spend staring at my stuffed closet with a four piece or less outfit, I will. I also love that I can wear this as it gets cooler by changing the heels for combat boots and wearing cute tights underneath my jeans. Throw on an oversized cardigan and we’re good to go! Versatility is an amazing thing.
I can’t wait to share with you all some of the super stylish people on my campus this year! I wish you all the best with your studies and/or jobs and let’s have a RADÂ year!
