Who’s pumped for another rad semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista? This girl! While I’m definitely in denial about being a senior in college, I couldn’t be more excited for all of the incredible memories and opportunities this year has in store. It’s been such a fun journey seeing my sense of style evolve throughout my past four semesters as a Style Guru. My personal tastes have refined and matured, which is fitting seeing as how I’ll be entering the real world in less than a year!
This fall commences my last year on campus as well as my first full year as an advertising major after making the switch from business this time last year. Even though it’s only the second week of classes, I already feel my studies further igniting my passion for life of the creative. It’s so validating finally pursuing the career path I’ve always dreamed out!
It’s also very validating finally feeling a congruence between who I am on the inside and how I am dressing on the outside. Like I said before, it’s been fascinating looking back and seeing the evolution of my look since I began this internship a year ago. It’s amazing how much can change in a year! If I had to describe my style in three words now, I would say it’s feminine, casual and fun.
I am straight up obsessed with every article of clothing I am wearing in this outfit! The off-the-shoulder and cold shoulder trends are my absolute jam right now. This fun and flirty top is actually from Abercrombie & Fitch and you can find one like it right here. I love that this top can be dressed up for a night on the town or dressed down for walking class. Since I was unfortunately partaking in the latter activity, I chose to pair it with my favorite Free People ripped jean shorts, Steve Madden booties, and this adorable emoji-eyed cross-body that I found at a local Bloomington boutique.
