Ah, the sweet smell of fall semester. Everything’s getting cooler, from the weather to the outfit you pick for class. This semester is typically my favorite, from meeting new people to dusting off your favorite denim jacket and sporting it on campus. But, of course, every Fashionista/o has one nagging question that never goes away: what do I wear for class? With a need to be comfy yet stylish, there’s many routes to take. Especially with the weather getting cooler, it’s time to put away the jean shorts and swap them for leggings.
When I saw this Fashionista, I knew her look was exactly what I was targeting. It’s a simple, yet stylish ideal fall outfit: jeans and a T-shirt, but styled in a way that allows for breathability, especially when running late for your 7:45 A.M. class.
Starting with her shirt, her cute embroidered crop top gave her a girly vibe that she totally rocked. Even though summer is coming to an end, it doesn’t mean every basic summer trend has to. If you’re not ready to say goodbye to a crop top, say no more. High-waisted jeans are your go-to. This Fashionista chose distressed ones, giving her cute look a little more edge. Now to her shoes—Birkenstocks all the way. These sandals completed her look: a perfect transition from hot to cold which is really what September is all about. They also kept it casual which is perfect for class and walking across campus. She layered her outfit with a green jacket that can be tied around the waist if she got too hot. This Fashionista was totally ready to take on class. Just add coffee, right?
Have a lunch or dinner date after class? Swap your sandals for some booties, making your look more classy and dressed up without losing your favorite high-waisted jeans.
