It’s September and you know what that means—school is back in session (remind me to cry later) but on the bright side, football season is here! It’s time for the beloved tradition of tailgating, supporting your school and wearing your classic colors. During my time here at the University of Mississippi, I have noticed that Grove style (that’s what we call it at our school) has evolved over time. Our colors are rebel red and blue. I’ve seen girls mix lower end pieces with higher end pieces by adding a fur vest or stylish hat to make their look stand out.
This Fashionista decided to keep her look classic by opting to go with a royal blue knit cami dress, strappy camel colored wedges and finishing off the look with a silver beaded flapper necklace. This dress is perfect for tailgating. It’s light, fun and fashionable without being too over the top. The wedges are the perfect touch adding a subtleness to the look while also keeping this Fashionista comfortable while she wanders around countless tents in the grove.
I love how this Fashionista went with minimal jewelry that didn’t overpower the look, but she still made a statement with her long necklace that’s effortless and beautiful. She also accessorized with the perfect red lip that is sure to set any look on fire and give you that long lasting, glamorous feel all day.
Football season is always the perfect time to try new looks. It’s always interesting seeing people mixing and matching different styles to get the perfect game day outfit. Nothing is better than cheering on your team, eating good food, strutting around in your most stylish outfits and starting new tailgating trends. I can’t wait to see all the amazing tailgating outfits this season!
