When the lumberjack trend exploded in fashion, I could not have been more excited. The boots were rugged, the flannel was everywhere, and the beards were beautiful. Guys who I had known for years were suddenly these beautifully rugged men. When it comes to beauty for women, it takes some work. There are endless makeup products, and doing my hair can take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. For guys, however, growing a beard is all it takes. Not that I’m saying beards aren’t any work at all, but they are without a doubt the best way for a guy to go from looking basic to beautiful.
When this Fashionisto begins to grow his beard out, there are certain steps he takes to achieve a clean, healthy-looking beard. For the first two or three weeks, he stops shaving. At this point, he has some messy scruff. He goes over it with an electric razor with a clip attached. When guys grow beards out, the hair generally doesn’t grow evenly. When he goes over his beard with the razor, it evens all his beard out to the same length. He then pulls the clip off the razor and cleans up his neck and cheeks to make the lines of his beard sharp. As the beard grows, he has to routinely trim it so it will grow in the right direction!
