It may be November, but it feels like September in Iowa City. Don’t get me wrong, I am definitely not complaining. In fact, I am loving it. With these beautiful fall days, I was recently able to rock my favorite summer romper.
The other day I stumbled upon the Rebecca Taylor spring 2017 ready-to-wear collection. It is a fact that I have a weak spot when it comes to lace and ruffles. Rebecca Taylor’s collection walked New York Fashion Week strutting lace, silk, prints and ruffles. It was love at first sight.
Rebecca Taylor inspired me for this weeks look. Her collection contained a variety of colors, and I chose navy–one of my fall favorites. I chose to pair it with another one of my favorites, over-the-knee boots. I have recently realized I have a thing for black and navy; who ever said it wasn’t okay? It may be warm during the day but it still gets chilly at night. My recommendation? Pick your favorite oversized cardigan, I would choose olive green (another of my fall favorites).
This collection wasn’t created from a specific inspiration or theme. I think that’s why I like it so much. Rebecca Taylor went with her instincts and each design is stunning. There is a very romantic look to these, and I think that’s why I’m so attracted to them.
I took a different take on this spring line, and I really like how it turned out. It is a litter simpler than looks I normally go for but in the end I am really happy with it. With this look, I am ready for the runway.
