The time has finally arrived: college graduation. Life surely does go by fast. I am writing my last article for CollegeFashionista. I am heartbroken and sad, but I will never forget the friendships that I have made and always thank CollegeFashionista for allowing me to be myself.
Thank goodness autumn semester’s graduation is inside, so I thought, why not leave Ohio State with a statement and wear black with nude colors? I paired a trim dress with a gray cardigan and nude wedges. I consider myself a fashionable diva, so I am going to walk across that stage, grab my diploma while slaying in wedges. I learned from Taylor Swift that “we never go out of style,” and Ohio State has truly taught me that the best person to be is myself. Being myself has led to so many new wonderful relationships and opportunities. Ohio State is also where I found my true, happy self by deciding I am really going to pursue transitioning to a woman. The support has been amazing from family and friends. What I love the most is that every person I have told from CollegeFashionista has been open and so wonderfully supportive.
Lastly, this outfit can transition easily to dinner with family or, in my case, going out with friends to celebrate graduation. The black dress is so perfect for a night out, and the shoes make you look fabulous. I would totally add in a cross-body bag if you are going out, because then you really show you are ready for a night out on the town.
I love you Ohio State University. Thank you for the wonderful memories. I cannot wait to begin the next chapter of my life.
